Summer School

Students who will take a summer school course at another university should take a course breakdown sheet containing the course name, content and ECTS from the university where they will register for summer school. He/she must submit the course breakdown schedule and a petition stating that he/she wants to take courses from another university in summer school to the department chair. The department board convenes, and the student is informed about the equivalence approval in terms of ECTS and content compatibility of the courses. A student can take a maximum of three courses during the summer term, not exceeding a total load of 21 ECTS credits. If the same course is offered in Karatekin University summer school or if there is a mismatch between course content and ECTS, the decision of the department board will be negative. Students with equivalence approval must submit the documents proving this to the department chair after they have completed the summer school at the host university and passed their courses successfully. With the decision of the department board, the grades in the grading system of the opposite university are converted with the grading system of Karatekin University, the courses in which the student is successful are determined and entered into the system.
